About Mrs. C :
I grew up in the small town of Clarkesville, Georgia where my mother taught high school English and Literature for 30 years. As an accomplished teacher, my mother instilled in me from an early age the importance of lifelong learning. I am an Honor Graduate of the University of North Georgia with a double major in Marketing & Management. I pursued a career in the banking industry in the areas of credit analysis and compliance.
After a successful career in banking, my focus in life changed with a mission trip to Nicaragua. Interaction with several Nicaraguan children made me realize that although my ability to help those children was limited, I could make a difference in the lives of children here at home. As a result of that experience and revelation, I changed my career path, education and focus to teaching. I have spent the past 12 years teaching math from 4th grade all the way through 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I currently hold a Florida Elem Ed grades k-6 & Math grades 5-9 certification and will be tutoring exclusively for this school year. I am so thankful to be able to spend each day doing something that I love.
